North Side Nit Pickers is a writers critique group with members throughout the Greater Denver metropolitan area. Our meetings include writing exercises, reading from works in progress, and constructive criticism, in an atmosphere of fun and freedom. We are all serious writers, seeking an audience with the aim of publication.

Understanding the limitations of a word processor and keyboard for conversation and friendship, we are a social as well as working group. We concentrate on novel length fiction with an occasional short story, non-fiction, or poem thrown in. We encourage all members to read something they've written, or discuss their current project, at every meeting.

Originally all members were unpublished. Now three have published works: Bill Brock with many short stories; Terry Banker with two novels; Johanna Fallis with one novel; Roger Jetter with non-fiction book.
